Sprint Competition Women
Competition description:
The Sprint Competition Women consists of three laps, 2.5km each, totaling 7.5km and two shooting bouts – five shots in prone position as well as five shots in standing position.
Each missed shot will incur a penalty loop of 150m. The start interval for a sprint race is 30 seconds.
The winner is whoever has the fastest total time (including penalty loops) at the finishing line.
Duration of the competition: approx. 1h 15min
Sprint Competition Men
Competition description:
The Sprint Competition Men consists of three laps, 3.3km each, totaling 10km and two bouts of shooting– five shots in prone position as well as five shots in standing position.
Each missed shot will incur a penalty loop of 150m.
The start interval for a sprint race is 30 seconds.
The winner is whoever has the fastest total time (including penalty loops) at the finishing line.
Duration of the competition: approx. 1h 20min
Pursuit Competition Women
Competition description:
The Pursuit Competition Women consists of 5 laps, 2.0km each, totaling 10km and four bouts of shooting – first, two time five shots in prone position, then, two times five shots in standing position.
Each missed shot will incur a penalty loop of 150m.
The result of the sprint competition will be the start list of the pursuit competition. Only the top 60 athletes of the sprint competition are allowed to start.
The winner is whoever crosses the finish line first.
Duration of the competition: approx. 45min
Pursuit Competition Men
Competition description:
The Pursuit Competition Men consists of 5 laps, 2.5km each, totaling 12.5km and four bouts of shooting – first, two times five shots in prone position, then, two times five shots in standing position.
Each missed shot will incur a penalty loop of 150m.
The result of the sprint competition will be the start list of the pursuit competition. Only the top 60 athletes of the print competition are allowed to start.
The winner is whoever crosses the finish line first.
Duration of the competition: approx. 45min
Relay Competition Women
Competition description:
The Relay Competition Women consist of four athletes competing one after another. Each athlete of the relay does three laps, 2.0km each (6.0km total) and two bouts of shooting – five shots in prone position as well as five shots in standing position. There are three reloads available per shooting. If there are still targets remaining after eight shots fired, each will incur a penalty loop.
One relay of four athletes per national federation is allowed.
The winner is the team that crosses the finish line first.
Duration of the competition: approx. 1h 15min
Relay Competition Men
Competition description:
The Relay Competition Men consists of four athletes competing one after another. Each athlete of the relay does three laps, 2.5km each (7.5km total) and two bouts of shooting – five shots in prone position as well as five shots in standing position. There are three reloads available per shooting. If there are still targets remaining after eight shots fired, each will incur a penalty loop.
One relay of four athletes per national federation is allowed.
The winner is the team that crosses the finish line first.
Duration of the competition: approx. 1h 15min
