From 13 to 15 December, biathlon fans can once again look forward to exciting races and a colourful supporting programme at the World Cup in Hochfilzen. Preparations around the stadium have already begun and advance ticket sales are already in full swing.

The Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen promises another exciting weekend for the numerous fans of cross-country skiing this year. With 2 races a day and an entertaining supporting programme, Hochfilzen will once again live up to its reputation as the home of biathlon. The 3-day biathlon festival opens with the sprint races on Friday 13 December. For the local biathlon stars around Anna Gandler, Lisa Hauser, Simon Eder and Felix Leitner, it's not just about the pure results, but also about the important placings for the pursuit races that follow the next day. The relay races on Sunday will be the exciting finale on Sunday.

Preparations on schedule
Behind the scenes, the experienced team led by organising committee head Franz Berger has been preparing for months. After all, the many spectators, around 600 athletes and coaches from around 30 nations as well as the numerous media representatives from all over the world should find optimal conditions. ‘All preparations are absolutely on schedule and we are looking forward to celebrating another exciting and atmospheric biathlon weekend this year,’ says Franz Berger.

Tickets and travelling
Advance ticket sales started immediately after the last World Cup in December 2023. In addition to day tickets for the grandstands, course or VIP area, general tickets (3-day tickets) are also available this year. Tickets are still available for all categories and can be conveniently ordered at www.biathlon-hochfilzen.at or www.skiaustria.at. For a free journey by public transport, a ticket can be booked at www.vvt.at/et/events/world-cup-biathlon-hochfilzen-2024. This is valid as a ticket for travelling to and from the event throughout Tyrol on all VVT local transport connections (except for the Innsbruck core zone, ÖBB IC, ÖBB EC, ÖBB Railjet and WESTbahn). Shuttle bus connections from Saalfelden to Hochfilzen and within the PillerseeTal are also available free of charge.
