German women win the relay race
Today's women's relay race ended with a widely celebrated victory for the German team.
In front of around 7,800 spectators, Vanessa Voigt, Julia Tannheimer, Selina Grotian, and Franziska Preuß delivered a great performance, securing a commanding win with a total of four spare rounds and a lead of 1:05.7 minutes over the French team (13 spare rounds/1 penalty loop). The Swedish women completed the podium (+1:31.8 min./6 spare rounds/1 penalty loop).
The Austrian quartet, consisting of Dunja Zdouc, Anna Gandler, Anna Andexer, and Lisa Hauser, finished in 13th place with a total of nine spare rounds, one penalty loop, and a time deficit of 4:56.4 minutes.
