Norwegians in a League of Their Own in the Relay

Winner's podium Team Norway

On the final day of competition at the Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen, the men’s relay was on the program today. The Norwegian quartet of Johannes Dale-Skjevdal, Johan-Olav Botn, Sturla Holm Laegreid and Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen put on a superb performance, showing top form throughout. They needed only three spare rounds at the shooting range in total and, in dominant fashion, secured victory with a commanding margin of 43.1 seconds over the French team, which required eight spare rounds.
Sweden finished third, 1:05.7 minutes behind, having used nine spare rounds.

The Austrian team, featuring Dominic Unterweger, Simon Eder, David Komatz and Fabian Müllauer, missed out on a top result after a promising start. The home quartet finished 14th, with a total of 13 spare rounds, three penalty loops, and a deficit of 4:06.0 minutes.
