Biathlon WCH 2017 at the open day of the statehouse
Led by Governor Platter, the state government has welcomed the Tyrolean people to the open day of the statehouse. Rainy weather could not deter more than 10.000 people from coming to statehouse square and to the statehouse on Austrian National Day: Once again the state government, the parliament and the administration have invited everyone to their traditional exhibition.

Sports Country Tyrol hosting five WCHs
This time the main focus was on the Tyrol as a sports country. Five top class sports events will be held in the Tyrol within the next three years: Cycling, Biathlon, Nordic Ski, Bobsleigh and Climbing World Championships. The Biathlon WCH 2017 Hochfilzen have been showcasing a tent and a mobile shooting range as well as local top athletes Dominik Landertinger and Lisa Hauser. Josef Geisler, member of the Tyrolean Government in charge of sports, OC Chairman Franz Berger, Markus Gandler, Biathlon Director of the Austrian Ski Federation, as well as, many more have been spotted at the Hochfilzen display.
