Unchallenged victory for Germany’s Relay in women’s competition

Just like at the last World Championships, Germany was triumphant in the women’s relay competition. Vanessa Hinz, Franziska Hildebrand, Maren Hammerschmidt and Laura Dahlmeier have been leading Olympic Champion, Ukraine by 44.9 seconds and France by 1:04.5 minutes.

There was no Austrian entry in the final competition of Hochfilzen. After Lisa Theresa Hauser waived her start in pursuit competition, Dunja Zdouc had also had to pass on a start the next day due to a cold.

Maren Hammerschmidt (GER): “The shooting in standing position has been the deciding factor form e and it was one of the best shooting bouts I have ever had. I am very pleased. Everyone in our team has been really strong, Laura followed right after myself and I know what she is able to do.“

Laura Dahlmeier (GER): „It is a great feeling being back here. We knew that we could do a great race and we followed through. Those have been the first races for me after being sick. Now I want to get back step by step.“

Olena Pidrushna (UKR): “I think my team believes in me. Our team sprint is very good and can be very happy with our performance.“

Celia Aymonier (FRA): “I wanted to give my best and reclaim every second. I have a good feeling on my skies at the moment. While I was not as confident at the beginning of the season I now feel great.“
