After their training in Tyrsil, Norway the Austrian Biathlon Team is back home. From Thursday on, three internal qualification competitions that will decide the team for the start of the world cup in Östersund (November, 27) will be held in Hochfilzen, host of the IBU World Championships Biathlon 2017.
In about a hundred days (98 to be exact) the IBU World Championships Biathlon 2017 Hochfilzen will kick off. Today the Austrian Ski Federation and the Organizing Committee Hochfilzen entertained a press conference at the modernized biathlon stadium to present the state of preparation for Austria’s winter sports highlight.

Led by Governor Platter, the state government has welcomed the Tyrolean people to the open day of the statehouse.
The OC-Team around Franz Berger along with the Tourism Association PillerseeTal is currently on a PR-Marathon. The IBU World Championships Biathlon is the main theme all around – from the Tyrolean Evening in Vienna to the forum nordicum in Lahti, Finland.
The Biathlon WCH Hochfilzen 2017 was able to present itself to large audience at the Day of Sports in Vienna. The shooting range fascinated thousands of visitors and stars from all types of sports.

HOCHFILZEN – TIROL – AUSTRIA
Construction work at the Biathlon Stadium Hochfilzen is in its final phase and it’s also high season at the training center. All notable teams utilize the perfect training conditions for their preparations for the winter season.
The local biathlon stars Lisa Hauser and Dominik Landertinger have been actively supported by their colleagues from South Tyrol Dominik Windisch and Lukas Hofer. The athletes set a delightful mood for the Waidring Games Night as well as the Fieberbrunn “Bummelnacht”.
Hochfilzen will host the BMW IBU World Championships Biathlon from February 8 to 19, 2017. Biathlon fans can get a first whiff at the “Bummelnacht” on the 2nd of August and at Gaming Night on the 8th of August.
For the second time ÖSV athletes have been provided outfitting and equipment for summer training at the Kufstein branch of Austrian Ski Federation’s logistics partner DB Schenker. All the outfitters and sponsors have been on site to present the athletes with everything they require for efficient summer training.
